JHALAKATHI, MAR 30 (V7N) - The body of a madrasa student has been recovered three days after he went missing while bathing in the Gabkhan River in Jhalakathi.The body of the teenager named Md. Alif (15) was found floating in the river in the Kifaitnagar area of ​​Jhalakati town on Monday afternoon, and locals recovered it and handed it over to the family.

The family said that Alif, a student of a madrasa in Habiganj, came to visit his grandparents' house in Jhalakathi five days before Eid. Last Saturday afternoon, he went to bathe in the river with his younger brother and cousin. However, Alif did not know how to swim. At one stage of bathing, he drowned. After his disappearance, a fire service diving team launched a rescue operation, but he could not be found. Later, three days after his disappearance, his body was found floating in the river. The incident has cast a shadow of mourning over the area.
