PABNA, March 20, (V7N) — A prayer and iftar mahfil was organized Thursday evening by the Chatmohar Development Society at the Upazila Parishad auditorium in Pabna.
Professor Ali Asgar, Member of Parliament for Pabna‑3 constituency, attended as chief guest. In his speech, he said: “If we can apply the lessons of fasting in Ramadan in our state, social, family and personal lives, then Bangladesh will turn around, Insha Allah… The lesson of fasting in Ramadan is enough to make this country a golden Bangladesh.”
The program was chaired by Society President Fazlur Rahman and moderated by Secretary Principal MM Ruhul Amin. It was also addressed by Chatmohar Upazila Jamaat Ameer Abdul Hamid, Secretary Habibur Rahman, Chatmohar Press Club President Helalur Rahman Jewel, Pabna Press Club Vice President SM Alauddin, Journalist Shahin Rahman, and other local leaders.
During the event, the 13‑member committee of the newly formed Chatmohar Development Society was announced. The committee includes:

Fazlur Rahman said the society will establish a trust to run schools, colleges and madrasas, aiming to improve education quality in Chatmohar. He added the organization will also support the poor and deprived, and ensure smooth implementation of government development projects. “We have started our journey with the vow to be by our side in any good work of the society. In the future, with the cooperation of everyone, we want to take Chatmohar much further,” he said.
