DHAKA, Mar 5, (V7N) – The government has finalized a revised protocol outlining the presence of senior officials at the airport during the Prime Minister’s departure for and return from official and state visits abroad.
According to a directive issued by the Cabinet Division on Thursday, designated top-ranking officials will now be required to remain present at the airport on such occasions to ensure formal state representation.
Under the updated guidelines, the senior-most minister of the Cabinet, the Chief Whip of the Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad, the Cabinet Secretary, and the Secretary to the Prime Minister will attend the airport during the Prime Minister’s foreign trips and homecomings.
The Cabinet Division confirmed that the previous instructions issued on August 28, 2024, have been replaced by this new directive.
Officials said the revised protocol is aimed at streamlining official arrangements and maintaining appropriate state decorum during the Prime Minister’s international engagements.
