RAJSHAHI, March 2, (V7N) - Police recovered the body of Adib Ahnaf (11), a fourth-grade student of Bil Dharampur Government Primary School, from a paddy field in Bil Dharampur area, Darshanpara union, Paba upazila on Monday morning. A belt was found tied around his neck.
Adib, son of Mostafizur Rahman, had gone with his grandfather to offer Tarawih prayers at Dharampur Jame Mosque on Sunday night but did not return home. Family members searched for him overnight without success. Farmers discovered his body in the field the next morning and alerted police.
Karnahar Police Station OC Md. Habibur Rahman confirmed the recovery. The boy’s uncle, Md. Mokshed Ali, alleged it was a planned murder, saying, “My nephew was brutally strangled to death. We want a fair investigation and exemplary punishment for the culprits.”
The body has been sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. Police have launched an investigation to identify and arrest those responsible. The family is preparing to file a murder case.
The incident has cast a shadow of mourning over the area, with residents demanding swift justice.
