Jhalokathi, Oct 3 (V7N) – The partially decomposed body of a 55-year-old woman, Bakul Begum, was discovered inside her residence in Shekherkathi area of Dapdapia Union, Nolchiti upazila on Friday around 1:30 p.m.

According to local sources, Bakul Begum lived alone and survived by begging. Neighbors noticed a foul odor near her house around midday and, upon checking, found her partially decomposed body.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nolchiti Police Station, Abdus Salam, stated that Bakul Begum was reportedly mentally unstable and had no known relatives. She lived alone at the residence where her body was found.

The police are conducting further inquiries into the circumstances of her death, although initial reports suggest natural causes, considering her mental condition and solitary living situation.
