Rangpur, July 30 (V7N) – Five individuals have been arrested in connection with a violent attack on a Hindu family in Aldadpur Balapara village, under Betgari Union of Gangachara upazila in Rangpur, allegedly over accusations of religious insult.
The information was disclosed in a press release issued by the Media and Public Relations Department of the Police Headquarters on Wednesday (July 30) morning.
According to the statement, unidentified attackers vandalized and looted homes in the Hindu-majority area of Aldadpur Balapara, and also assaulted police personnel during the chaos.
Following the incident, Rabindranath Roy (55), son of Debendra Nath Roy of Aldadpur Chayani Para, filed a complaint as the plaintiff. Based on the complaint, a case was registered at Gangachara Model Police Station under:

Police have already conducted a joint operation and arrested five suspects in connection with the case. Investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other individuals involved in the attack.
