Dhaka, Nov 19 (V7N) — The High Court has issued a full verdict declaring the trial of killings and torture during the mass uprising, as well as the report of the UN Human Rights Office, a historical document. The verdict was published on the Supreme Court website today, Wednesday (November 19).

Earlier, in August last year, the High Court ruled to recognize the UN Human Rights report on violations during the mass uprising as a 'historical document'. Supreme Court lawyer Md. Tanvir Ahmed presented the verdict after hearing the writ petition.

The court also ordered the report to be gazette-published as ‘July Revolution-2024’. It directed that copies be preserved in state archives, including the National Archives and relevant public libraries, and be made easily accessible on government websites for public awareness, academic research, and legal reference.
