Dhaka, Jun 06 (V7N) – Although the sky remains clear in Dhaka and many northern regions ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast possible rain in parts of the eastern region, including Sylhet, on Eid day.

Meteorologist AKM Nazmul Karim stated on Friday (June 6) that there is no chance of low-pressure formation in the Bay of Bengal over the next week. As a result, the possibility of heavy rainfall across the country is minimal during this period.

While temperatures are expected to stay above 35 degrees Celsius, high humidity levels will intensify the feeling of heat, causing discomfort for residents, especially during outdoor Eid congregations and travel.

The Meteorological Office also confirmed that the monsoon arrived earlier than usual this year. However, with no significant weather systems forming in the sea, the Eid holiday period is expected to remain mostly dry.

After days of persistent rainfall, Friday saw clear skies over Dhaka, offering some relief to residents preparing for Eid celebrations.
