Dhaka, May 29 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) has temporarily suspended launch services on the busy Daulatdia-Paturia route due to adverse weather conditions.

The suspension began at 9:30 am on Thursday (May 29), causing significant inconvenience for passengers relying on this vital waterway.

Daulatdia Launch Ghat Manager Milan Mia explained that the decision was made to prevent accidents amid stormy winds and turbulent conditions on the Padma River.

He added that launch operations will resume once weather conditions improve and it is deemed safe to operate.

Passengers are advised to stay updated with official announcements for resumption of services.
