Dhaka, May 29 (V7N) – A low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal has brought widespread rainfall across various parts of Bangladesh, including the capital city Dhaka, providing some respite from recent scorching heat. However, the continuous rain since Thursday morning has created challenges for office-goers and commuters.
The rain has led to a noticeable reduction in road traffic as many chose to walk with umbrellas instead of taking vehicles. The usually busy streets saw fewer cars, increasing foot traffic but also slowing down movement for many.
Bikers offering ride-sharing services are facing difficulties due to a lack of passengers in the wet weather. Rickshaw pullers have also expressed their frustration over the scarcity of customers, making it tough to start their day.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued warnings for sea and naval ports across the country, advising caution due to the adverse weather conditions associated with the low-pressure system.
Residents are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions as the weather remains unsettled.
