Dhaka, Mar 13 (V7N) — The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced another reduction in domestic gold prices. According to a press release on Friday morning, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) has been reduced by Tk 2,158, bringing it down to Tk 2,64,948. The new price took effect from 10 am today.

BAJUS stated that the adjustment was made in consideration of the decline in the price of pure gold in the local market. The revised prices for different types of gold are as follows:

  • 22-carat gold: Tk 2,64,948 per bhori

  • 21-carat gold: Tk 2,52,876 per bhori

  • 18-carat gold: Tk 2,16,775 per bhori

  • Traditional gold: Tk 1,76,943 per bhori

The last adjustment was made on the morning of March 12, when the price of 22-carat gold was reduced by Tk 3,324 to Tk 2,67,106. On that day, 21-carat gold was priced at Tk 2,54,975 per bhori, 18-carat at Tk 2,18,583 per bhori, and traditional gold at Tk 1,78,401 per bhori.

So far in 2026, the domestic gold price has been adjusted 42 times, with 26 increases and 16 decreases.
