Dhaka, Oct 09 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has raised gold prices in the domestic market by up to Tk 2,216 per bhori, effective from 10 am on Friday.
In a statement issued on Friday, BAJUS said the revised prices were approved at a meeting of its Standing Committee on Price Determination and Price Monitoring, held at 9 am.
Under the new rates, 22-carat gold is priced at Tk 2,31,297 per bhori, while 21-carat gold costs Tk 2,20,916 per bhori.
The price of 18-carat gold has been set at Tk 1,89,715 per bhori, while traditional-method gold is priced at Tk 1,54,956 per bhori.
Meanwhile, silver prices have remained unchanged.
According to BAJUS, 22-carat silver costs Tk 4,316 per bhori, while 21-carat silver is priced at Tk 4,141.
The price of 18-carat silver remains Tk 3,558 per bhori, while traditional-method silver is selling at Tk 2,683 per bhori.
The latest adjustment raises gold prices in Bangladesh, while silver rates remain stable.
