Dhaka, Sep 30 (V7N)- The government will not allow anyone to undermine the country’s law and order situation, Chief Whip of the National Assembly Nurul Islam Moni said.
He made the remarks after paying tribute at the tombs of former President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia in the capital on Wednesday morning.
Moni said the government is strong and there is no reason to assume that it is weak.
He said the government would take whatever measures are necessary to improve the law and order situation.
Referring to the killing of Hadi, the chief whip alleged that the country sheltering the accused killer is attempting to create instability and weaken law and order in Bangladesh.
On the proposed constitutional amendments, Moni said the government is holding discussions with political parties as part of the process.
He also said the government has arranged allowances for khatibs and priests.
Moni added that the BNP is taking necessary steps to advance what he described as its values and commitments.
