Dhaka, Sep 07 (V7N)- The government has taken various initiatives to ensure the safety and security of patients and doctors, State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr. MA Muhith said.
He made the remarks while attending the 48th Special BCS Health Cadre Induction and Orientation Program at the Shaheed Abu Sayed International Convention Center in Shahbagh on Monday (September 7) morning.
The State Minister said doctors play an important role in ensuring people's access to their rightful healthcare services. He added that the government would stand by doctors if they come forward with proposals to establish a new health system.
Regarding recent incidents of mob attacks targeting doctors, Dr. Muhith said such incidents reflect injustices faced by people over the past two and a half years. However, he said steps are being taken to address the situation.
