Dhaka, Aug. 2 (V7N) – The Police Headquarters has issued its highest level of alert across the country following intelligence reports of possible sabotage targeting police vehicles and other law enforcement transport.

The directive was issued through an urgent message sent from the Operations Control Room of the Police Headquarters on Saturday (Aug. 1), instructing field-level units to strengthen security measures immediately.

According to the message, intelligence agencies have received information suggesting that members of extremist groups or other miscreants may attempt to attack various vehicles, including police jeeps, pickup trucks and buses.

Describing the matter as "extremely important," the Police Headquarters directed all field units to strictly implement the security instructions and remain on heightened vigilance.

Although the Police Headquarters has not made any official public statement regarding the alert, officials familiar with the matter said the measures are part of routine operational preparedness aimed at ensuring the safety of law enforcement personnel and vehicles.

Authorities have not disclosed any specific intelligence regarding the nature, location or timing of the alleged threats.
