Washington, May 02 (V7N)- The body of Bangladeshi PhD student Nahida Sultana Bristy, who had been missing in the United States, has been recovered, following the earlier discovery of Jamil Ahmed Limon’s body.

The Bangladesh Embassy in the United States confirmed the development on Friday, stating that arrangements are underway to repatriate Bristy’s body to Bangladesh.

According to sources, the Florida Police Department contacted Bristy’s brother and confirmed that the second recovered body was hers. At the request of the family, necessary procedures have been initiated to send the body back home through the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington DC and the Bangladesh Consulate in Miami.

Earlier, it was announced that Jamil Ahmed Limon’s body would be sent to Bangladesh on May 2 via Orlando International Airport and is expected to reach Dhaka on May 4 through Dubai.

Both victims, Limon and Bristy, were 27-year-old Bangladeshi PhD students who had been missing since April 16. In connection with the incident, Limon’s roommate, Hisham Abu Gharbeh, has been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the murder.
