Dhaka, Dec 06 (V7N) – A total of 194,527 Bangladeshis from various countries have registered as voters through the ‘Postal Vote BD’ app to participate in the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum. Among them, 175,573 are men and 18,968 are women, according to a postal voting update published on the Election Commission (EC) website on Saturday afternoon.

Saudi Arabia accounted for the highest number of applications at 38,374, followed by 19,227 voters from the United States. Expatriates can register via the app until December 25, an extension from the previous deadline of December 18. The EC has urged applicants to provide accurate addresses to ensure smooth postal voting.

Meanwhile, the EC also announced the In-Country Postal Voting (ICPV) process, which will allow government officials involved in the election, voters in legal custody, and government employees residing outside their voting areas to cast their votes.
