Dhaka, Nov 27 (V7N) — Another earthquake was felt across Dhaka and several other parts of the country on Thursday afternoon. The tremor, measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale, occurred at 4:15 pm, according to the Meteorological Department. No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received.
The epicenter of the earthquake was identified as Ghorashal in Narsingdi, with a depth of 10 kilometers from the surface.
It is noteworthy that this is the fourth earthquake felt in Dhaka and nearby areas within approximately 31 hours. On Friday morning, a 5.7-magnitude quake struck with its epicenter at Madhavadi in Narsingdi, resulting in 10 fatalities across different regions of the country. Authorities continue to monitor seismic activity and advise residents to remain alert.
