Dhaka, Nov 26 (V7N) — Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin has expressed optimism that the law and order situation in the country will improve after the announcement of the schedule for the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections. He noted that although the situation has not yet reached perfection, it has significantly improved since August 5.

The CEC made the remarks while attending an election training and exercise program at the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) headquarters on Wednesday morning.

He said that special measures will be taken in areas considered risky, with red, yellow, and green zones to be designated ahead of the national election. “Police, Ansar, BGB and other forces are undergoing regular training, which will have a positive impact on ensuring a fair election,” he added.

CEC Nasir Uddin further stated that the Election Commission is committed to fulfilling its promise of delivering a neutral and fair election to the nation.
