Dhaka, Nov 22 (V7N) — The capital and nearby areas experienced another earthquake on Saturday evening. The tremor occurred at 6:15 pm and measured 4.3 on the Richter scale, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The earthquake’s epicenter was 10 kilometers below the surface.

Earlier on the same day, a minor tremor of 3.3 magnitude was recorded at 10:36 am in Palash, Narsingdi, by the Meteorological Department’s Earthquake Observation and Research Center.

This comes a day after a moderate 5.7-magnitude earthquake struck various parts of the country, including Dhaka, on Friday morning. The epicenter of that quake was in Madhavadi, Narsingdi, and it claimed the lives of 10 people across the country. Authorities continue to monitor seismic activity and advise residents to remain vigilant.
