Dhaka, Nov 18 (V7N) — Ahead of the 13th National Parliament elections, a total of 127,695,183 people are eligible to vote, the Election Commission (EC) announced. The previous draft list had recorded 127,612,384 voters.

EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed shared the final figures in front of the Election Bhaban, stating that the voter list was prepared based on citizens who turned 18 by October 31. Among the voters, 64,814,907 are male, 62,879,042 female, and 1,234 identify as third gender. The growth rate of male voters is 2.29 percent, while female voters have increased by 4.16 percent.

In addition, the EC confirmed the registration of the National Citizens Party (NCP) and the Marxist Socialist Party, while the registration of seven other parties is currently under review.
