Dhaka, Nov 11 (V7N) — The government has extended the special executive magisterial powers granted to the armed forces for another three and a half months, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday.

The powers will be in force from Wednesday, November 12, to February 28, 2026. Army officers on assignment in the Coast Guard and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) will also be able to exercise these powers during the same period.

Initially, these powers were granted on September 17, 2024, for two months and have since been extended several times to maintain law and order across the country.
