Dhaka, Sep 05 (V7N) – Bangladesh Police has announced financial rewards for the recovery of weapons and ammunition looted by criminals. The announcement was made via a post on the verified Facebook page of the police on Friday afternoon.

The government will offer 50,000 taka for pistols and shotguns, 1 lakh taka for Chinese rifles, 1.5 lakh taka for submachine guns (SMGs), 5 lakh taka for light machine guns (LMGs), and 500 taka per round of bullets recovered.

The reward is intended for genuine finders, and the authorities assured that the identity of anyone providing information or recovering the items will remain completely confidential.

Police officials urged citizens to come forward and assist in returning the looted weapons to maintain law and order across the country.
