Tel Aviv, Oct 25 (V7N)- Protesters staged an anti-government demonstration in Tel Aviv on Saturday, October 24, with a demonstrator wearing a zipper across his mouth and clothing wrapped in the Israeli national flag drawing attention.

Qatar-based Al Jazeera reported on the demonstration on Sunday. The protest also featured a satirical image of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, reflecting opposition to his government.

Separately, Ibrahim Azizi, head of the National Security Committee of Iran’s parliament, issued a warning to Israel amid escalating tensions between the two countries.

In a post on social media platform X, Azizi wrote, “One miscalculation is enough. The occupied territory will become uninhabitable in less than an hour.”

He published the message in Hebrew, English and Persian. The statement was directed at Israel and came in response to remarks by Netanyahu about Iran.

Earlier, Netanyahu said at a ceremony marking the conclusion of an Israeli military exercise that removing the Iranian regime was the only way to permanently eliminate the threat posed by Tehran. He reportedly described this as an instruction to the Israeli military, the Mossad intelligence agency and other security forces.

Azizi also shared a video of Netanyahu’s remarks on X, accompanying it with a warning of a rapid and forceful response to any Israeli miscalculation.

The statements underscore the continuing tensions between Iran and Israel, as officials on both sides issue increasingly confrontational warnings.
