Jeddah, Aug 07 (V7N)- Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Saudi Arabia on a three-day official visit at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
A special aircraft carrying the Pakistani Prime Minister landed at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah on Thursday, where Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation were received by senior Saudi government officials.
The Pakistani delegation includes the country's Foreign Minister, senior cabinet members, the Chief of Defence, and other high-ranking civilian and military officials.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
According to officials, the meeting will focus on strengthening the longstanding diplomatic, economic and strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The two leaders are also expected to exchange views on regional security, trade, investment, and other issues of mutual and global importance.
The visit is expected to further deepen cooperation between the two countries, which have maintained close political, economic and defence ties for decades.
