Tel Aviv, Mar 19 (V7N) – Three private aircraft were damaged at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport after debris from intercepted Iranian missiles fell on the area, authorities said.
Israel’s air defense systems intercepted the missile attack on Thursday, but falling fragments struck parts of the airport. One aircraft caught fire after being hit, while two others sustained partial damage.
Following the incident, Israeli authorities canceled around 30 flights scheduled between March 22 and March 28 to several destinations in Spain and Germany as a precautionary measure.
The attack highlights the growing risks to civilian infrastructure amid escalating regional tensions.
