Tehran, Mar 11 (V7N) – Iran’s top security official Ali Larijani has issued a strong warning to the United States and Israel, saying the strategically important Strait of Hormuz could either remain a route of peace and prosperity or become a pathway of defeat and suffering for those seeking conflict.
Larijani delivered the warning in a message published in six different languages on Tuesday (March 10), according to a report by the BBC.
The statement comes at a time of heightened tensions in the Middle East amid the ongoing conflict involving Iran. Analysts say the Strait of Hormuz remains a critical geopolitical chokepoint due to its importance in global energy supply.
Concerns over potential disruptions to oil shipments through the strait have already pushed global oil prices upward in international markets. Nearly one-fifth of the world’s total oil supply is transported through this narrow maritime route connecting the Persian Gulf to international waters.
Observers warn that any instability or restriction in the Strait of Hormuz could have significant consequences for global energy markets and regional security.
