Washington, Mar 1 (V7N) — U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has been killed. In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump made the announcement and described Khamenei as “one of the most evil figures in history,” asserting that his death represents justice not only for the Iranian people but for the world at large.

In his statement, Trump wrote: “Khamenei, one of the most evil individuals in history, is dead. Justice has been delivered today for the countless Americans and people around the world who were killed or maimed by Khamenei and his bloodthirsty forces.”

He further claimed that Khamenei was unable to evade U.S. intelligence agencies and advanced tracking systems. According to Trump, the operation was carried out in coordination between the United States and Israel, leaving Khamenei and other senior leaders with no opportunity to escape. He added that the Iranian people now have a chance to “reclaim their country.”

Trump also alleged that many members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), as well as personnel within the army and police forces, no longer wish to continue fighting and are seeking immunity from the United States. “I said last night—they can have immunity if they act now. But if they delay, death awaits them,” he wrote.

The U.S. president claimed that within just one day of operations, the Iranian state had been largely “destroyed” or “neutralized.” However, he indicated that the campaign would not end there. Trump stated that bombing operations would continue throughout the week until the objective of establishing peace in the Middle East and across the world is achieved.

Note: The claims made in President Trump’s statement have not been independently verified at the time of reporting.
