Isfahan, Feb 24 (V7N)- At least four people have died after a military helicopter crashed in Isfahan province, around 350 kilometers from Tehran.

According to Al Jazeera, the helicopter crashed into a vegetable shop shortly after takeoff during a training flight. The pilot, co-pilot, and two civilians inside the shop were killed instantly. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

This incident follows a recent crash of a US-made F-4 fighter jet in Hamedan, which also resulted in the death of the pilot.

Experts note that decades of international sanctions have left Iran struggling to modernize its aging military and civilian aircraft fleets, contributing to a rising number of aviation accidents.

Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding casualties or possible structural damage to the surrounding area.
