Riyadh, February 7 (V7N)- Saudi Arabia has announced plans to issue special passports for its millions of camels, in a move described as unique even in global terms.

The Ministry of Agriculture said the initiative aims to ensure proper management of the country’s vast camel herd and to create a reliable database that will improve efficiency in the camel farming sector.

Last Tuesday (February 3), the ministry shared a photo of the camel passport on social media. The passport is green, featuring the national emblem of Saudi Arabia and a picture of a golden camel.

Authorities said this system will help monitor camel ownership, track movement, and support the overall development of the camel farming industry in the kingdom.
