Bangkok, July 28 (V7N) – Five people were killed and one person injured in a deadly shooting at the Aur Tor Kor market in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, on Sunday morning (July 27), local time. According to Thai police, the attacker also died, bringing the total death toll to six.

Local media reported that security personnel were among the deceased. Witnesses said the attacker entered the market and suddenly opened fire, causing panic among shoppers and vendors. It remains unclear whether the attacker was killed in an exchange of fire with police or died by suicide.

The Aur Tor Kor market, located in northeastern Bangkok, is one of Thailand’s most well-known markets, famous for its high-quality fresh fruits, seafood, and local agricultural products. It is a popular destination for both tourists and locals.
