Kathalia, Sept 04 (V7N) — An awareness and training workshop on eye health was held in Kathalia Upazila of Jhalokathi district on Thursday.
The workshop was organised at 11am at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium, with the initiative of Grameen GC Eye Hospital in Barishal.
A total of 60 participants from different professions and sections of the community took part in the day-long training programme.
The training was conducted by Grameen GC Eye Hospital Manager Md Mahafizur Rahman, Outreach Coordinator Md Monir Hossain and trainer Md Khairul Hasan Munna.
During the workshop, participants received detailed information and practical guidance on various eye diseases, preventive measures, proper eye care and ways to protect overall eye health.
The organisers said the initiative was aimed at increasing public awareness of eye health and encouraging people to take preventive measures against avoidable eye diseases.
