Rijeka, Oct 04 (V7N)- England produced a stunning performance to thrash Croatia 7-0 in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday, with Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka scoring twice each.

Thomas Tuchel's side dominated from the opening minutes at Stadion HNK Rijeka and took the lead in the eighth minute. Kane finished after a move involving Jude Bellingham to put England ahead.

Bellingham doubled the advantage in the 21st minute, before Anthony Gordon headed home England's third in the 39th minute.

Saka then struck in the 45th minute to give England a commanding 4-0 lead at halftime. The four goals came from four different players as England controlled the match from the opening whistle.

England continued their dominance after the break. Kane scored his second goal in the 53rd minute before Saka added another in the 68th minute to make it 6-0.

Substitute Morgan Rogers completed the rout in the 87th minute, sealing England's 7-0 victory.

The result was Croatia's heaviest defeat in their history and England's biggest victory in the UEFA Nations League. It also matched England's biggest win since their 7-0 victory over North Macedonia in June 2023.

Jude Bellingham was particularly influential, scoring once and providing three assists. Kane and Saka each contributed two goals and an assist in England's emphatic attacking display.

The victory gave England six points from three matches in Group A3, leaving them second behind Spain, who have nine points. Croatia remain third with three points.

England will face Czechia in their next match, while Croatia are scheduled to meet Spain on October 6.
