Dhaka, Sept 8 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today announced the itinerary for the home series against West Indies, with the Caribbean side set to visit in October-November for a two-match Test series that forms part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC).

Bangladesh currently sit in fourth place in the WTC standings and have a genuine chance to reach the final for the first time in the tournament's history. Their standing improved following a historic Test victory against Australia in Darwin last month—the first time Bangladesh defeated Australia in Australia. Although they lost the second Test to draw the series 1-1, the performance has made them favourites in this WTC cycle. West Indies, meanwhile, are currently in eighth position in the WTC standings.
