BULAWAYO, Zimbabwe 19 July(v7n): Stand-in captain Towhid Hridoy has credited an honest, hard-hitting team meeting for transforming Bangladesh’s fortunes as the visitors secured a hard-fought 2-1 T20 International series victory over Zimbabwe. The Tigers sealed the comeback with a clinical four-wicket win in the deciding match at the Queens Sports Club on Sunday.

The T20I trophy provides a much-needed silver lining to an otherwise grueling tour for Bangladesh, who had previously suffered deflating defeats in both the one-off Test match and the three-match One Day International (ODI) leg.

After suffering a heavy defeat in the series opener, Hridoy revealed that the squad sat down for a frank discussion to dissect their errors and quickly master the challenging local conditions.

Raza refused to shield his unit's defensive display, stating, "Had we fielded a little bit better, we could have made a game out of it anyway. There were dropped chances, misfields, and too many twos that shouldn't have been."

Despite the series loss, Raza strongly commended pacer Brad Evans for showing immense heart while defending a minuscule five runs in the final over.
