Kansas City, Jun 26 (V7N) – The Netherlands secured top spot in Group F of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a 3-1 victory over Tunisia on Friday, booking their place in the knockout stage with a strong performance.

Ronald Koeman’s side will now face Morocco in the Round of 32 on June 30 in Monterrey, Mexico.

The Dutch made a flying start to the match, taking the lead inside the third minute when Tunisia captain Elias Achouri turned the ball into his own net while attempting to clear a dangerous cross from Denzel Dumfries.

Momentum stayed with the Netherlands as Brian Brobbey doubled the advantage shortly after, putting the European side firmly in control early on.

Tunisia responded after the break and managed to pull one back through Hazem Mastouri, who scored from a corner to give his side hope.

However, any chance of a comeback was quickly shut down when Jan Paul van Hecke added a third goal for the Netherlands, sealing all three points.

With the win, the Netherlands finished Group F on seven points from three matches, comfortably topping the standings and advancing to the Round of 32 as group winners.

Tunisia, meanwhile, ended their World Cup campaign without a point after losing all three group-stage matches, finishing bottom of the group.
