Chittagong, Apr 27 (V7N) — Hosts Bangladesh lost the toss and were asked to field first in the second and final Test of the two-match series against Zimbabwe at the Birshreshtha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium in Chittagong.
Bangladesh made three changes to their playing XI from the first Test. Batter Enamul Haque, off-spinner Naeem Hasan, and pacer Tanjim Hasan Shakib were included, replacing Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Khaled Ahmed, and Nahid Rana. Tanjim Hasan Shakib is making his Test debut.
Zimbabwe also made two changes to their lineup. Wicketkeepers Tafadzoya Siga and Vincent Masekesa were drafted into the playing XI in place of Victor Nyauchi and Nyasha Mayavo. Vincent Masekesa is also making his Test debut in this match.
Zimbabwe currently leads the series 1–0, having clinched a narrow three-wicket victory in the first Test at Sylhet. Historically, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe have faced each other 19 times in Test cricket, with each side winning 8 matches and 3 matches ending in draws.
