Tel Aviv, Aug21  (V7N) – While the Palestinian resistance group Hamas has agreed to a ceasefire proposal brokered by Qatar and Egypt, Israel has shown no interest in the offer. Instead, the Israeli government has reportedly approved final plans for a full-scale ground invasion of Gaza, significantly escalating the ongoing conflict.

According to military sources, Israel plans to increase its reserve forces by 60,000, bringing the total to 80,000. Combined with the existing active-duty troops, this would mobilize a 120,000-strong force. The new operation has been dubbed “Gideon’s Wrath B,” signaling a significant and aggressive expansion of Israeli military activities in the Gaza Strip.

Despite ongoing diplomatic efforts to mediate a truce, including pressure from international stakeholders, the situation on the ground continues to deteriorate. Analysts warn that this scale of military mobilization indicates preparations for a prolonged and intense campaign aimed at capturing key territories within Gaza.

Military analysts suggest the operation could lead to one of the most extensive and destructive offensives in recent years. The humanitarian toll is expected to rise sharply if hostilities escalate further, raising global concerns over civilian casualties and the regional impact.

As the standoff intensifies, the international community is renewing its calls for restraint and urging both sides to return to negotiations. However, with Israel moving forward with its ground plans and Hamas signaling conditional readiness for peace, the prospects for an immediate ceasefire remain uncertain.
