DHAKA, Sept 9 (V7N) – The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported on Monday that 573 new patients have been admitted to hospitals across Bangladesh due to dengue fever. Two additional deaths from dengue were recorded in the past 24 hours.

According to the DGHS, the distribution of newly hospitalized patients outside city corporation areas is as follows: Barishal Division – 104, Chattogram Division – 83, Dhaka North City Corporation – 73, Dhaka South City Corporation – 80, Khulna Division – 31, Mymensingh Division – 14, Rajshahi Division – 44, and Sylhet Division – 1.

Since January 1, 2025, the total number of deaths from dengue has risen to 135, while the cumulative number of confirmed cases has reached 34,411.

Authorities continue to urge the public to take preventive measures against mosquito breeding and seek medical attention promptly if dengue symptoms appear.
