Dhaka, Aug 23 (V7N) — According to a press release issued by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services, a total of 178 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals across various divisions of Bangladesh within the last 24 hours.
The breakdown of newly admitted dengue patients in the past day includes 29 in Barishal Division (outside city corporation areas), 23 in Chattogram Division (outside city corporation areas), 25 in Dhaka Division (outside city corporation areas), 18 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 23 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 10 in Khulna Division (outside city corporation areas), 4 in Mymensingh Division (outside city corporation areas), 14 in Rajshahi Division (outside city corporation areas), and 27 in Rangpur Division (outside city corporation areas).
Since the beginning of this year, a total of 26,557 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals nationwide.
The health authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, emphasizing the importance of preventive measures such as eliminating mosquito breeding sites and maintaining hygiene to control the spread of dengue fever. Public awareness campaigns remain ongoing to reduce the incidence of this mosquito-borne disease, which remains a significant public health concern in Bangladesh during the monsoon season.
