Dhaka, Nov 05 (V7N)- Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar has alleged that external forces are seeking to destabilise the country by exploiting the ongoing labour movement.

He made the allegation at a press conference at the party's central office in Moghbazar, Dhaka, on Thursday afternoon.

Parwar criticised the government over what he described as partisan influence in the formation of the workers' wage board, calling the approach inappropriate.

He said the survival of industries depended on the welfare of workers, stressing that both industrial owners and employees needed a balanced solution to their concerns.

The Jamaat leader also accused police of using inhumane measures to suppress the workers' movement. He called for an impartial investigation to identify those responsible for instigating unrest and bring them to justice.

At the same time, Parwar urged workers not to harass ordinary employees or engage in protests that could damage industries and disrupt economic activities.
