Bagerhat, July 25 (V7N) – Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, the Amir (Pir Sahab) of the Islamic Andolon Bangladesh, addressed a large gathering in Morelganj, Bagerhat, on Thursday, where he strongly condemned the influence of foreign powers on Bangladesh's politics. During the rally, he stressed the urgent need for reforms, including trials for war crimes and the necessity of ensuring fair and free elections.

Addressing thousands of supporters at Kapuriya Patti in the afternoon, Mufti Karim criticized the corruption and foreign-controlled policies that have led to widespread injustice in the country. He firmly stated that any individuals involved in corruption or in collusion with foreign agendas, particularly those responsible for the illegal transfer of national wealth abroad, will no longer have a place in the nation's future. “We have seen the theft of national assets, the rise of corrupt practices, and the erosion of democratic values under previous administrations. We will not allow the rise of fascist forces again," he asserted.

The rally, which began at 5 PM, was chaired by Maulana H.M. Saiful Islam, president of the Islamic Movement of Morelganj. Prominent figures such as Maulana Abdul Awal, vice-president of the movement, Maulana Abdul Majid, a central leader, and Abdul Alim, the parliamentary candidate for Bagerhat-4 from Jamaat-e-Islami, were also present. Additionally, local leaders including Hafiz Maulana Mahfuzur Rahman, Maulana Mohammad Yusuf Iqbal, and Maulana Omar Faruk Bin Nuri participated in the event.

Despite the heavy downpour during the event, thousands of party workers and supporters from various unions in the area gathered and braved the weather, fully engaged in the speeches, which revolved around political reforms and the establishment of a strong Islamic governance system.

In his final remarks, Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim reiterated his conviction that only an Islamic system of governance could provide lasting peace and prosperity for Bangladesh. He called on the people to vote for the "Hand Symbol" in the upcoming parliamentary elections, believing it to be the only way to achieve true justice and national integrity.
