Dhaka, July 22 (V7N) – In the aftermath of the tragic Bangladesh Air Force fighter jet crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara, the government has postponed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations scheduled for Thursday, July 24. The new date for these exams will be announced after the regular examination cycle.

Education Advisor Professor Dr. C. R. Abrar made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon while addressing students at the Milestone campus. Earlier, the HSC exams scheduled for today (Tuesday) were also postponed in response to the deadly incident and growing student protests demanding justice and accountability.

The postponement was confirmed just after midnight, following widespread demands from students and intense discussions across social media platforms.

In addition, all examinations under the National University scheduled for today have also been postponed.

As of the latest reports, the death toll from the crash has risen to 31, while 165 individuals are undergoing treatment at various hospitals. The majority of the victims were students of the institution, and the government has declared Tuesday a day of national mourning.
