Khagrachhari, July 16 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s (BNP) Volunteer League, Khagrachhari district branch, organized a protest march and rally in Khagrachhari city against the nationwide decline in law and order and what they described as conspiratorial efforts to destabilize the country. The demonstration was part of a central BNP program protesting the administration’s alleged negligence in maintaining public security and the disruption of educational environments across the nation.
The protest began in the late afternoon at the Government School Playground in Khagrachhari district town. The procession moved through the city’s main roads before concluding with a rally at Shapla Chattar’s open stage.
Abdullah Al Noman Sagar, convener of the Khagrachhari district Volunteer League, presided over the event. The program featured speeches by key BNP leaders including Rafiqul Islam Rafik, Joint Secretary of the central Volunteer League committee; MN Abshar, General Secretary of Khagrachhari BNP; Mosharaf Hossain and Animesh Chakma Rinku, Joint Secretaries of Khagrachhari BNP; Abdur Rob Raja, Organizational Secretary of Khagrachhari BNP; Nazrul Islam, Volunteer Secretary of Khagrachhari BNP; and Ekram Hon Rana, Senior Joint Convener of the Khagrachhari Volunteer League.
Speakers accused covert forces of orchestrating conspiracies nationwide, targeting BNP leader Tarique Rahman and attempting to destabilize Bangladesh through hidden agendas. They warned the public against being deceived by such conspiracies and cautioned that the people would not tolerate manipulation or chaos.
The leaders pledged strong resistance and vowed to respond decisively to those conspiring against the nation’s stability, urging unity among citizens to safeguard peace and order.
The demonstration highlighted rising political tensions in the region and reflects ongoing challenges related to governance, security, and political rivalry in Bangladesh. Local authorities are yet to comment on the protest or the accusations raised during the event.
