DHAKA, May 16 (V7N) - The Detective Branch (DB) is currently interrogating a suspected individual at their office regarding the incident where a plastic water bottle was thrown at Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md. Mahfuj Alam in Dhaka's Kakrail area on Wednesday.

Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Media Division, stated that the individual will be released to their guardian after the interrogation is completed.

The incident occurred on Wednesday night after 10 pm, while Information Adviser Mahfuj Alam was addressing protesting students from Jagannath University in front of the Kakrail Mosque.

During his speech, a plastic bottle was unexpectedly thrown, striking the adviser on the head. Following the incident, Mahfuj Alam immediately left the location without continuing his address.
