Rajshahi, Nov 04 (V7N) — A thick layer of fog wrapped around Rajshahi city and its nearby upazilas early Monday morning, marking the first true touch of winter in the region. The cool, misty air turned the cityscape into a scene of calm serenity, signaling the seasonal shift that locals had been waiting for.

From dawn, visibility on major highways dropped sharply as vehicles moved cautiously with headlights on. Commuters made their way through the haze, while the first rays of sunlight struggled to break through the fog.

In the outskirts, fields shimmered under dew-soaked grass where children played joyfully, their laughter blending with the quiet charm of a foggy morning. Dewdrops hanging from spider webs reflected the pale sunlight, creating a tranquil yet mesmerizing view of nature’s gentle transformation.

“This morning, we truly felt winter arrive,” said Abdul Karim, a resident of Puthia upazila, as he described the sudden change in the air.

According to the Rajshahi Meteorological Office, Monday’s minimum temperature dipped to around 18°C. Officials said more foggy mornings are expected in the coming days, as cooler winds from the north continue to spread across northern Bangladesh.

The calm, misty dawn of Rajshahi seems to whisper the same message to all — winter is finally here, bringing with it the freshness and stillness of the season.
