Dhaka, Nov 01 (V7N)- President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has urged all political parties in Bangladesh to pursue parliamentary-centred politics, saying the country cannot move forward through political rhetoric alone and must be built through sustained struggle and action.
He made the remarks while speaking to reporters after the inauguration of National Youth Day celebrations at the China-Bangladesh Friendship Conference Centre in the capital on Sunday morning.
The President said improving the prospects of young people was essential to the country's prosperity, describing the youth as a major driving force of national development.
He stressed the need to utilise their potential and create opportunities for them to contribute to the economy and society.
The President also said the government had a responsibility to develop young people as entrepreneurs and provide necessary support and facilities to talented individuals.
He called for greater government assistance to encourage youth-led initiatives and strengthen skills and talent development.
