Dhaka, July 30 (V7N)- State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat has said that the cost of Hajj packages will be reduced by lowering not only airfares but also other related expenses.

He made the remarks while speaking at the National Hajj and Umrah Fair held at the China Friendship Conference Center in the capital on Thursday (July 30) morning.

The State Minister said the credit for reducing Hajj fares goes to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. He added that discussions were held with the Saudi ambassador to ensure better Hajj facilities and explore further reductions in costs.

He said the government is working to provide Category C services at the cost of Category D packages, which would significantly benefit pilgrims.

M Rashiduzzaman Millat also said that the country's Hajj agencies are aiming to make arrangements for Hajj 2027 better than those of Hajj 2026.

He assured that the problems faced by pilgrims in previous years, including issues related to luggage and food management, would not occur in the future.
