Dhaka, May 04 (V7N) — Pranay Verma, the Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, paid a farewell call on Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman at his office on Monday.

During the meeting, the High Commissioner expressed gratitude to the Foreign Minister and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their continued cooperation in strengthening Bangladesh–India relations.

Pranay Verma noted that the Government of India remains committed to working closely with the government and people of Bangladesh to further enhance people-centric cooperation. He emphasized that such collaboration would be guided by the national development priorities, mutual interests, and shared benefits of both countries.

Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman, in turn, thanked the outgoing envoy for his contributions to the advancement of bilateral ties and conveyed his best wishes for Verma’s future responsibilities.

The meeting also included a brief review of ongoing bilateral issues, with both sides expressing optimism that relations between the two neighboring countries will continue to grow stronger, driven by new opportunities and shared aspirations.
