Jessore, Apr 27 (V7N)- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is set to visit Jessore on Monday in his first official tour to the district since assuming office after the 13th National Parliament election.
According to the Prime Minister’s Press Wing, the visit will include a series of development activities, including the inauguration of a canal excavation project, the foundation stone laying of a major hospital, and a public rally.
As per the schedule, the Prime Minister will depart from his Gulshan residence in Dhaka in the morning and proceed to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by road. From there, he will travel by air to Jessore.
Upon arrival, he will visit Sharsha Upazila, where he will inaugurate the Ulshi Canal excavation program and attend a public gathering organized on the occasion.
Later in the day, after a brief stop at the Jessore Circuit House, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of a 500-bed hospital at Jessore Medical College. He is also scheduled to address a public meeting at Jessore Central Eidgah Maidan, expected to draw a large crowd.
Authorities have taken strict security measures across Jessore, alongside extensive preparations to ensure the smooth execution of the visit.
This marks Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s first visit to Jessore as head of government and his second visit to the district in the past three months. Previously, on February 2, he attended a major election rally at Jessore Upashahar Degree College ground.
The Prime Minister is expected to return to Dhaka in the evening after completing the day’s activities.
